In this course, we will explore unique issues that arise when children have personal injury claims. Does this change your strategy? What impact will this have on damages? We will explore these issues that have been addressed by our courts.

Professor Timothy J. Peterkin is a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the North Carolina Central Law Review. Over the past 20 years, Professor Peterkin has had an array of experiences in the non-profit sector, private sector and on various faculties. He published scholarly articles on civil procedure and consumer issues and an article focused on self-defense laws. He also co-authored a textbook. While in private practice, he enjoyed representing clients in civil matters, including domestic and estate planning. Atty. Peterkin has experienced a variety of roles, including serving on the faculty at the University of South Dakota School of Law, University of Memphis School of Law and the University of the Pacific School of Law and currently at Penn State Dickinson School of Law. Since 2010, Attorney Peterkin has served as a senior lecturer with Law People USA, LLC.
